Welcome to the Nashville Area Psychological Association website. The Nashville Area Psychological Association provides educational and networking opportunities for mental health professionals and students in the Nashville area. Additionally, we report regularly on the organization’s activities to the Tennessee Psychological Association and act as a voice for our membership to TPA.
Past educational programs have included information regarding: ethics surrounding termination issues in psychotherapy, presented by Denise Davis, PhD; working with the Hispanic population, presented by Dr. Jorge Boero; Ethics: Professional Hazards and Antidotes, presented by Dr. Murphy Thomas; ethical issues surrounding emergency-based mental health interventions, presented by B. Charles Ihrig, PhD; and working with terminally ill clients, presented by Warren Thompson, PhD. The NAPA Executive Board works to offer interesting and timely seminars presented by professionals from the area.
If you are interested in joining our organization, please view our membership page. An application can be found at the bottom of the membership page. If you are a current member, we look forward to your continued support and involvement. Finally, for those of you interested in taking an active role in the NAPA organization, we welcome your participation as a member or officer. Please feel free to contact the NAPA board with any questions or suggestions at napapsych@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
